If you’ve been following my journey to visit every Scheels store in the United States, you know I love a good road trip. But somewhere between outdoor gear and giant Ferris wheels, I discovered a sweet side quest — visiting local donut shops in the cities I explore. It’s the perfect detour for someone who enjoys good eats and great vibes.

🗺️ My Donut Shop Stops (So Far)
🍩 Crispy Donuts – Dodge City, Kansas
Tucked away in the Old West charm of Dodge City, this shop surprised me with its soft, fluffy donuts and local character. No frills, just great taste.
🍩 Duck Donuts – Johnstown, Colorado
If you like your donuts hot and made-to-order, Duck Donuts is a must. I went with maple icing and bacon — a bold choice that totally paid off.
🍩 ChuChu Donuts – Des Moines, Iowa
Creative designs, fast service, and a blueberry glaze that’s worth a return trip. ChuChu is a standout in the heart of Iowa.
🍩 BoSa Donuts – Casa Grande, Arizona
This desert stop delivered big. Huge, fresh donuts and a great iced coffee to match. A top-tier road snack for sure.
🎥 Coming Soon to YouTube
Stay tuned! I’ll be posting quick reviews and behind-the-scenes video clips from these shops and others I visit. Follow along on my YouTube channel for tasty highlights from the road.
🍩 Why Donuts?
While my main mission is visiting every Scheels location in the U.S., donut shops bring something extra to the journey — comfort, surprise, and local flavor. It’s a small indulgence that makes each stop memorable in a whole new way.
🛣️ What’s Next?
More Scheels. More donuts. I’m planning visits to stores in Minnesota, North Dakota, and beyond — and yes, I’ll be scouting new donut spots in each city.
